Guiliani’s Conservative Problem

9 10 2007

The Guiliani campaign is gradually shifting its central message away from all things 9/11 to “I’m the only Republican candidate who can beat Hillary Clinton.”  But that may not be enough to shore up support from critical groups that constitute the conservative GOP base.

Apparently, many of conservative religious groups find Guiliani’s record on judges, gay rights, guns, immigration, abortion among other issues so objectionable that they are strongly considering supporting a third party candidate, if Guiliani is gets the nomination.

James Dobson makes his case during a segment with the reliably right wing Sean Hannity.
